anglo-catholic, inclusive, committed to prayer & justice

Sunday 10:30-12:00

For Everyone

Everybody is welcome and everyone participates, from readings or prayers to processions, serving or singing.

Food & Hospitality

We regularly share food and drink from all our diverse backgrounds after mass. Bring something to share!

Historic Beauty

The church, built in 1730, is Grade 1 listed and represents the way our tradition uses all our senses to worship God.

Music

We have a William Drake Organ, and every other week is a high quality choral mass. The acoustics of the church are very special and it has been used in a number of recordings.

“St Paul’s struck me as a rather special place”

If you want to know what a typical Sunday at S. Paul’s feels like then we recommend this independent review from the website ‘Ship Of Fools’.

I shall remember being shown that there is no incompatibility between traditional liturgical observance and forging a contemporary inclusive community, so long as you do both with sufficient conviction. And I shall remember the inspired way the children were woven into a mass that many would deem suitable only for adults. St Paul’s struck me as a rather special place.

At S. Paul’s we strive to take our faith seriously and to explore its implications on our every day lives.

Giving and support

Maintaining S. Paul’s costs more than £1,000 a week and we get no direct government support. Any donations you can spare are very welcome.
